WE SERVE THE CENTRAL & WESTERN AREAS OF LINCOLN COUNTY

It's when wheelbarrows of food are given to families and new toys are given to children for Christmas. It is also a fundraiser, when monetary donations are made to support this give out and the Ministry in the coming year. 

During November the Retired Principals of the Lincoln County Schools will coordinate a food drive.  The schools collect tons and tons of food for the Ministry. If you have not received any information from your school please contact them and ask them to participate. 

Also November into December, the member churches will be asked to pick a specific item from our food list and concentrate on collecting as much as they can.

Starting in November, Angel trees will pop up around town! They are in your churches, stores and the banks. If you want to have an Angel tree, just call us and we will get you as many angels as you want! 

Maybe you don’t want to do an Angel tree but want to collect toys; have a toy drive or have a toy party! 

After enough toys have come in, the bagging starts! Volunteers will start gathering toys for each child and get them ready to be given out. 

It all comes together on December 20! All the food will be sorted and ready to go. The toys will be sorted and tagged for each child. Volunteers will be at the ready for the “give out” to start! If you have never been here, it’s a sight to see! 20 wheelbarrows, yes wheelbarrows, are parked on the dock looking like Santa’s reindeer. They will be filled with food for the volunteer to push to the client’s car. Then, if the client is getting toys, a volunteer will bring the toys to the clients car.

Our monetary goal for this year is $50,000. Last year we took in over $130,000! These funds will help meet the needs at Christmas and the coming year. 

Monetary donations can be made in honor or memory of someone. Include an address, so we can send a card on your behalf to the person or family member.

• November 1st - Churches start collecting food, call to tell us which food item you are collecting.
• November  1 - Families can start signing up to receive Christmas food & toys.
• November - Lincoln County Schools conduct much needed food drive.
• December 7, 11a - 1p - USED TOY give out, no sign up's needed. 
• December 13 - Toys need to be turned in to be sorted and packed.
• December 20 - GIVE OUT DAY, volunteers will give out food & toys!
