Participation is easy! It can be as simple as making an announcement one week and collecting from your congregation, school or civic club the next week. One canned good or one dollar (or more) per person can make a huge difference!
In 2025, the average cost of a soup kitchen meal was 0.65!

It is also very important to report your total at tacklehunger.org or call 1-800-358-SOUP (7687) so your donations can be counted in the national total and the Souper Bowl of Caring movement can continue to grow.

Our ANNUAL MEETING that was scheduled for Monday, 1/26 has been postponed to Monday, 2/2. It will start at 7pm and will be held at Lincoln Avenue Baptist.
The soup kitchen will be open Saturday,1/24 and Sunday, 1/25. We will be giving our homeless clients food to make it through Monday. We have been told they will be offered a place to get out of the weather. We hope our Soup Kitchen, Pantry, LINC Home Delivered Meals, and Day Retreat will open sometime Monday, 1/26.
